Live in Carer for Young Man with Learning Disabilities

We are currently seeking a live in carer to look after a young man with learning disabilities who lives on the Surrey/ Berkshire border. He is a delightful character who enjoys a very active social life.  As he attends many activities, such as swimming, drama club and bowling, his carer would need to have a car.  He also likes watching TV and films.  As he has a great sense of fun, his carer is required to have a good sense of humour and a young outlook.  Preparation of healthy meals is important.  As he has difficulty with speech, the carer must have patience and be a good listener.  Excellent communication skills are essential along with a compassionate nature.

This position offers good rates of pay, paid in house training with NVQ opportunities and 24 hour support from the friendly staff at our local office.

If you have excellent spoken English, a compassionate nature and are interested in this or similar live in care assignments, please complete the online application form below or call Kathleen on 01483 485837.

All successful candidates will undergo an enhanced CRB disclosure and must be able to provide good references.
