Registered Care Manager | Woking, Surrey
We require a Registered Care Manager for our office in Knaphill, Woking, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Outstanding Employer of the Year 2009 in a key management position.
The Registered Care Manger will be responsible for managing and growing the Woking office whilst maintaining the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate will have:
- Managed a high volume domiciliary care agency or a large residential home
- A track record of achieving rapid growth whilst maintaining and improving high standards of care (ideally demonstrated through an improvement in CQC ratings)
- A deep understanding of care so they are able to deal with complex care packages
- An ability to balance ambition and drive with compassion and empathy
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. The ideal candidate must be comfortable delegating responsibility and authority and managing through others
- Experience of managing office based staff and large numbers of remote based carers. The ideal candidate will be as comfortable providing praise as managing difficult staffing and disciplinary matters
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ambitious, motivated and goal oriented with experience of managing in a commercial environment
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Strong relationships with social service commissioners
- Excellent knowledge or Care Standards and experience of dealing with CSCI/CQC
- Beable to manage effectively under pressure.
Desirable characteristics:
- Computer literate (ideally with an understanding of care based packages, e.g. Staffplan)
- Experience and knowledge of managing live-in care
